More than 300 years of history. And you can taste it!

The rich history of the Liefmans brewery dates back to 1679. Around 1750, brewer Jacobus Liefmans chose the fertile Oudenaarde. Even today, the Liefmans brewery remains true to its Oudenaarde roots, with the Scheldt bank as a natural breeding ground for its delicious fruit beers. Thanks to the talent of master brewster Rosa Merckx, Liefmans grew into what it is today. As the first, and for a long time only, master brewster in Belgium, she brought finesse and subtlety to Belgian beer culture for 46 years. We can still taste that passion today.
